Me and My Baby Belly!

So I haven't had the chance to post anything lately because really nothing has changed...well except for my baby belly!  It keeps getting bigger every day!  She is definitely growing and she loves to kick me alot!  She especially loves the sound of her Daddy's laughter and loves to move around when her Daddy laughs.  I definitely think I am going to be in trouble once she grows up and her and her Daddy gang up on me.  Everything with me is going well except that I have been extremely tired and exhausted lately.  Knowing that at the end of this is a beautiful prize is making all this worthwhile.



The Nursery!

This past weekend Rob was hunting up north. 

I wanted to surprise him with a completed nursery when he got home! 

Here are the results (Just note:  I personally don't think the pictures do it justice, I think it looks so much better in person, but here you go)...

This is the look when you walk in the nursery. 

The first thing you see is the changing table that I put together by myself (can't you tell I am a little proud). 

I am so happy that it is actually still standing and safe for our baby.

Here is the quilt that came with the crib set that we had picked out. 

I decided to use it as a wall hanging because we can't really use it in the crib.

 Here is the crib that my Mom, and sisters Neala and Andrea bought for us! 

We absolutely LOVE the crib.  It looks so good in the nursery.

 These are some framed art that I put together to match the rest of the room.  These came from the bumper pads from the crib set.  I didn't want to use the bumper pads because of some incidents that have occured from the use of them, but I knew that I could come up with something to use them for.  (See picture at end of post for picture of original bumper pads).

Here is a close-up of the other two pieces of art that came from the bumper pads.  The monkey one is my favorite!

Here is a rocker that my Mom has had for a long time that she brought up for us to use. 

The blanket on the back is made by my cousins Bridget and Bethann.  It really means a lot to me because they made it to honor my Dad.  Before he passed away I told him to send me yellow butterflies and I would know that he is around me.  Having this in the baby's room reminds me that he will always be watching over and protecting her.  I absolutely love it!

These are the original bumper pads that I used for the framed art.  The monkey one is already split from the lion one.  It took me a long time to actually get up the nerve to cut it apart, but I am so glad that I did.

When Rob came home he was pleasantly surprised and happy with all I had accomplished. 

Big Sister...Kadie

Kadie is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her baby sister. 

She has already had to inspect everything that has come in the house

for her baby sister to make sure it is all on the up and up. 

We can't wait to see how she reacts to a new baby in the family. 

We know that she is going to be a very protective big sister!

Another Beautiful Baby Shower!

Had a wonderful time last weekend at the baby shower given by Rob's family.  The shower was absolutely beautiful! I had such a nice time seeing my friends and meeting Rob's family that we didn't get any pictures.  If you happen to have any we would LOVE to have a copy.  Thanks to everyone who helped with the shower...Grandma Bea, Aunt Judy, Aunt Di K., Aunt Di L., Meghan, Peggy, Barbie, and Mary.  Thank you all!  Our baby is so lucky to have so many people that love her already!

Baby Shower at the Farm!

The Baby Shower at the farm was absolutely perfect! 

This shower was put on for us by my family! 

 

The cake was SO ADORABLE! 

Andrea (my sister) was in charge of the cake and did a PERFECT job!

Here we are...the HAPPY expecting parents!  We are so excited to greet our baby girl into the world this January!  This is an absolute dream come true for both of us!

Our NEW Blog!

So this is my attempt at a new blog for our little family.  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little monkey around January 18th, 2012.  I hope to post pictures soon once I can figure this out.
